Jenny Packham is a British fashion designer, based in London, known primarily for her glamorous bridal gowns of immense quality, detail, style, and premier design house of choice with her ready-to-wear and evening collections.
We have recently had the thrill and excitement of being able to photograph the above wedding dress designed by the Jenny Packham label.
Not many people will realise she is the sister of naturalist Chris Packham.
Jenny Packham studied Fashion at Southampton Solent University before graduating with a First Class Honours degree from Central St Martins School of Art in London.
In November 2008, she was awarded an honorary doctorate degree from Southampton Solent University, in her home city of Southampton.
She founded Jenny Packham London– designing evening wear – and launched her first collection at the London Designer Show in 1988. The label now has stores in London, Paris and New York, and is stocked in luxury stores in the UK and the USA.
Jenny has been named as Hollywood Style Designer of the Year, International Couture Bridal Designer of the Year 2007 and British Bridal Dress Designer of the Year 2008 and 2011.
Packham’s wide based celebrity clientele includes global artists from Kate Winslet, Angelina Jolie, Keira Knightley, Reese Witherspoon, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, to Cameron Diaz, Jessica Biel and Jennifer Anniston.
Jenny Packham’s designs can be often seen on the red carpets of Los Angeles(LA) at events from the Academy Awards to the Grammy’s, glamorous fundraisers and art gallery exhibitions.
Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge, wore several Jenny Packham dresses during her first official Royal tour of Canada and Los Angeles in July 2011.
Jenny Packham designed the widely reported short red dress worn by Emma Watson in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – part 1. She has also designed items for the James Bond movies Die Another Day and Casino Royale.
As Greg and I are both big 007 and Jenny Packham fans, we were so pleased to be able to photograph our Princess Bride, and real client, in her iconic, breathtaking and spectacular beaded wedding dress, so special, which can be worn again after the wedding day celebrations, as a fabulous summer evening gown for a summer season champagne and canape cocktail party event.

This glorious gown was beautifully complemented with wedding hair and stunning vintage styled designer accessories by Sarah Roberts of London, and with Make-Up Artistry applied expertly by one of the North West’s premier MUA Liz Griffiths.
We were pleased to work alongside the superb wedding planning co-ordinator Julie Dawson of The Wedding Genie on the day, to make certain the planning was smooth and seamless.
This ensured we had everything in place and on hand for our special client and the photo-shoot session, and therefore enabling us to remain innovative to create these stunning romantic portraiture images in sumptuous settings.
